below we indicate the procedures adopted by our facility to guarantee you a comfortable and safe holiday.
In suites and rooms
Before arrival, the staff of the housekeeping service equipped with PPE (personal protective equipment) will clean/sanitize the room/suite with alcohol, chlorine and hydrogen peroxide detergents as indicated by the Ministry of Health, using disposable material, with particular attention to the cleaning of remote controls, buttons and handles on doors and windows, wardrobes and showers. For the purpose of a more careful and accurate sanitization, at the end of the cleaning of the room/suite, a latest generation technology called "AIRO" is used with the delivery of hydrogen peroxide nanoparticles: this system emits a dry mist disinfectant that acts by ensuring a reduction bacterial and viral load of 99.9%.
In the shared areas
Smeraldo Suites & Spa has spacious shared areas that naturally guarantee the rules of social distancing. Every day all sanitization activities are recorded in a special register, paying particular attention to handles, lift buttons, stairs, handrails, support surfaces and toilets. In the hall and next to the elevators on each floor, you will find a sanitizing gel dispenser to always have clean and sanitized hands. To minimize the time spent at the reception, we request identification documents in advance in order to speed up the check-in procedure.
Breakfast service
Alcohol-based sanitizing gel dispensers are located outside and inside the breakfast room. The breakfast service is organized according to the rules of the quota, each shift will last 25/30 minutes to allow disinfection of all surfaces and the entry of the next shift, thus guaranteeing breakfast service to all guests. The distance of 2 meters between the tables will be observed in the room; the service will be carried out by the dining room staff, equipped with safety devices, respecting the interpersonal distance of 1 meter, the use of a mask will be required for the collection of food and drinks, and whenever the guest is not seated at the table. The breakfast room is constantly sanitized thanks to the use of a new generation NASA technology called "Shu" which produces a blanket of redundant oxidants that sanitize the air and sanitize the surfaces.
The outdoor swimming pool and the roof top
All the Smeraldo Suites & Spa’s pools are treated with chlorine sanitization, as required by law. The accesses will be quoted respecting the occupation of 4 people every 10 sqmts and 2 mts between the sunbeds. However, at least 1 mt distance must be guaranteed between people both outside and inside the water, with exception for people belonging to the same family. The shared areas of the pools are cleaned with alcohol, chlorine and hydrogen peroxide based detergents as per the Italian National Institute of Health’s legislation. The sunbeds of the swimming pool and solarium are sanitized at each guest/family change.
SPA Smeraldo Wellness
Our SPA is cleaned every morning with alcohol, chlorine and hydrogen peroxide detergents and sanitized with the "AIRO" technology with the delivery of hydrogen peroxide nanoparticles. Access will be contingent and upon reservation, each guest must wear a disposable mask and shoehorn, and close their effects in a disposable bag. Outside and inside the wellness center, sanitizing gel stations are available to sanitize the hands. The staff is equipped with PPE according to the law and when possible the interpersonal distance of 1 meter will be observed. In case of treatments/massages in the cabin the same will be sanitized, the staff will wear the protective visor, the FFp2 mask and the disposable gown and will sanitize the hands before and after the treatment. At the end of the treatment, the cabin will be sanitized again with alcohol-based and aerated products.
